CBD has been taken off the banned substance list!

Earlier this year WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) decided to remove CBD from its list of banned substance. This comes after years of research have shown evidence that CBD has tremendous therapeutic benefits as well as can help the body recover due to is anti-inflammatory properties.

Many athletes have not been able to use CBD and experience the benefits due to it being considered a banned substance. Its removal from the banned list now allows many more individuals to benefit from taking CBD.

CrossFit has followed WADA and has now made CBD exempt from their banned substances for competitive athletes.A review from 2018 of the neurological benefits of phytocannabinoids and in particular CBD which showed evidence that CBD might be able to help with traumatic brain injury was authored by doctors with ties to the NFL, which leads me to believe it’s only a matter of time before the NFL allows players to take CBD.
